{short description of image}

The structures which contribute to fault seal processes can be examined in detail at outcrop and their spatial and geometric relationships examined. This broad based course gives a practical introduction to fault seal processes and introduces the techniques used to practically address the issues of migration, compartmentalisation, static seal and dynamic seal.

Topics included:

  • Faults and fault damage zones
  • Fault zone structure
  • Fault damage zone structure
  • Fault seal processes

Length: 4 days.
Who is this course for? This course is suitable for all geoscientists.
Benefits: This course will demonstrate a range of reservoir scale deformation features which affect reservoir performance. The course also gives a broad based introduction to the concepts of fault seal and reservoir characterisation.
Requirements: Field gear, wellies, good walking boots and a bottle of wine for lunch in the Vale of Eden
